We accept all cash and eftpos payments (private). We also have HICAPS available so we can accept all Australian Private Health funds.
We also accept DVA White and Gold card holders with a current D904 (made out to our clinic). NDIS patients and Home Care Packages.
No, Maroochy Podiatry operates from the clinic only.
Please note: our clinic is wheelchair friendly with easy access, disabled bathroom facilities and wide-set doors.
No, you do not need a referral from your doctor to see a podiatrist. Anyone is able to book in with a podiatrist.
If you hold a white or gold DVA card and wish to see us you will need a current D904 from your GP made out to our clinic.
If you are a HCP client you do not need a referral but you will need to contact your package manager to have us onboarded with them (if we aren’t already) prior to visiting the clinic.
This is dependent on the reason for your visit. All rebooking is specific to the patient’s needs, concerns and goals. We will discuss this with you at the end of your initial appointment.
All appointments are booked over the phone. Please call our practice on (07) 5479 1080 to book.
Generally we like to see all the current footwear you’ve been wearing, including gym/sports shoes, work/school shoes and casual shoes. It is also advisable to wear shorts or pants that can be rolled up to above the knee if we are assessing your lower limbs. If it is your initial appointment we will generally specify what we’d like you to bring over the phone while booking you in.
Podiatrists are trained in minor nail surgery and are qualified to perform a PNA (Partial Nail Avulsion) or TNA (Total Nail Avulsion). Some people are. To be entitled to medicare subsidies for podiatry you must have a CDM Plan (Chronic Disease Management Plan), formerly known as EPC plan (Enhanced Primary Care Plan) from your GP. If your GP assesses you and deems you eligible then you may receive up to 5 medicare subsided appointments per year.
We do not bulk bill medicare appointments, meaning there will be an out of pocket gap payment.
Yes, we see many patients who are funded through their HCP.
